May this Diwali your life be as colorful and bright as the lights of Diwali

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a 5 day festival that begins on the 15th day of the lunar calendar, in the 8th month known as Kartik. It coincides with the end of the yearly harvest and it celebrates the victory of light over dark, or good over evil.

Celebrants of this tradition will share food, especially sweets, and adorn their homes, streets and shops with beautiful sand mandalas called Rangolis, and oil lamps known as diyas.

So, my dear friends, for those of you who are celebrating this beautiful holiday, I wish you prosperity, good health, joy and much happiness for you and your loved ones.

As someone who was not born into this tradition, I say thank you. Thank you, to an amazing culture that has graced the world with so much wisdom and beauty. I'm forever grateful.

May the light of the diyas guide you towards the way of wealth and prosperity. Happy Diwali!

Namaste,

Deb
